Program Design

Day begins at 9:00 a.m.
Program staff at designated central locations will pick up students.
Students will arrive at Noank Shipyard, Noank, CT and board First Light. Program staff will supervise a maximum of 6 students and implement planned educational activities for the day.
Students will be provided with lunch. Special health/diet concerns should be discussed in advance.
Day end at 4:00 p.m.
Students will be dropped off at central locations.
All special permission slips must be signed with emergency contact information given before enrollment in the program.

Students can choose to participate in various full day programs which follow a progression in maritime related topics.
Student teams can explore Long Island Sound aboard First Light as well as along the shoreline engaging in seine netting/sampling and other scientific methods of animal collection and studay.
